KIPP Austin Collegiate
KIPP Austin Collegiate serves high school students in East Austin who are seeking a rigorous, college-preparatory program. Our high school curriculum and instructional model build on the key elements of our successful middle school, KIPP Austin College Prep, including more time in school, a focus on results, highly qualified and committed teachers, and a school culture that supports learning and success.
Students also have the opportunity to benefit from a variety of programs, including team sports such as soccer and basketball; individual sports such as running and golf, band, theatre, art, nutrition and gardening, and a year of service with a community organization. We also offer field lessons that support established learning goals in the curriculum.
Upon graduation, all students have the skills and experiences required for college and lifetime success. In order to graduate from KIPP Austin Collegiate, all students must:
- Gain acceptance into two four-year colleges or universities

- Pass all sections of the required TAKS tests
- Complete a year-long research or writing project each academic year (the topic and field of study is different for each grade)
- Complete service learning requirements
