A star shines only when it releases energy from its core. Similarly, in the KIPP Austin Public Schools’ logo, the star is a metaphor representing each individual student who, by choosing to attend our schools, is empowered to grow, releasing the potential that resides within. Through this commitment, our students can reach the highest levels of academic achievement and character development; the placement of the star in the logo reflects a student successfully breaking through self-perceived or socially imposed limits. As a symbol of Austin, the Texas state capitol and home to our students, the star also reminds us of our responsibility to our community.
KIPP Austin Public Schools provide the support and structure for our students to leverage their innate talents and embody our values of community, honor, tenacity, quality and courage.
